Marlin
Natalie, Michael, Maya, and Lena are a German family we met while in Bequia, their boat is a 60 ft long monohull with a bright red paint-job named Marlin.
This picture was taken from our dinghy as it was going by.
The girl on the ladder is Lena the youngest of the family.
This is all of us in Bequia outside of the ice cream parlor at the docks.

Stella, I have been reading your posts and really enjoying the updates. (I enjoy Cleo's and Jade's posts, too!) It looks like you are making new friends at sea. Is it different meeting friends on boats from meeting friends at school or 'on land' ?
What a treat to meet kids your same age on a journey like this. When I was 12, my family toured New Zealand in a camper van. We ended up meeting an Australian family that was on the same path as my family. They had a couple kids my age. We had so much fun on that trip. In fact, that was 28 years ago and we are still in touch. Be sure to get their contact info, Stella. Very few people have had the opportunity to take a trip like the one you are on. So, you will always have a unique shared experience with your new friends.
Hi Stella,
Not sure if our last comment posted, so we are trying again...
We love reading your blogs! It looks like you are having quite an adventure, and it is great that you have made new friends. We look forward to reading more!

What a great way to meet new friends. Go to the Caribbean and find a family sailing in the same direction as you are. Finding an ice cream shop with those friends also looks like fun.--Pop. P. S. The Dogwatch ice cream tent is open again this summer.
Hi Stella. I'm so happy you girls are making good friends! Thank you for this post and the great photos. I love hearing of your adventure and will pass on your blog link to Bella. I know she, too, will enjoy following your story. Keep having fun and be safe!
This sounds like the most amazing experience! So many new friends and cultures and adventures! I'm in awe of your journey (even though I'm sure a lot of it is really, really hard, too -- but that just makes me more in awe!).
How fun! Looks like you all are having a great time. Keep us all posted!

I echo many of the other comments--I'm so glad you met another wonderful family!
Hey, caroline, It is actually different when you meet a new friend at sea than when you meet a new friend on land, not because the people are different, simply because we do different things together like swimming and sailing and hiking and talking about the places we've been so far.
I miss u 2 Anna, and hope 2 c u soon!!
I did actually use the one-out-of-100 rule on my pictures, Nathalie.
I'll keep u posted!
